In total blacks make up what about 12% of the public? What percentage I wonder of the voting public, given that somewhere around half of all eligible voters actually vote, black or white.

Now the southern red states are simply not going to vote for a black man, we know that, so that leaves the traditional democratic states. Here's the tough part, you don't think there's a lot of people that traditionally vote democrat and even though will tell you until they're blue in the face they're not racist will never ever vote for a black man? I think there's plenty.
