What are some good self-made foods I can get for my dorm? I'm getting bored of cafeteria food and the majority of places surrounding the campus are franchises

I prefer healthy food too

uncooked noodles was how we ate them in high school :P

Go for some packaged ramen, udons... the ones where the noodle is soft and not hard. Tastes better and gotta be healthier!

I'm not really into ramen. I like udon though but unless you start adding a lot of miniscule things such as <insert spices, meat, etc. here> it is pretty bland.

TVP (textured Vegetable Protein) you can get it in any health food store, its cheap and mixed with some veggies makes a KICK ASS chilli, VERY filling and its also very good for you as well. It also keeps FOREVER..........

When I was in the Navy living in the barracks I lived on Spagettio's with Meatballs for awhile. I also recommend highly, those Little Debbie Snack Cakes (Starcrunch). And:

Go thru the drive thru at mcdonalds and order a cheese burger. an hour later come back and complain that you were late for class so you weren't able to come back right away.. you order a big mac meal and all they gave you was a cheeseburger. be sure to have it, half eaten (hey, you were hungry!) and demand the big mac meal.

works 9 times out of 10.
*McDonalds has to be close to campus.. and don't do it twice within a week. have your friends do it if you are really hard up!
