Need some help. I have a few hundred records that I have not played in 10 years. I want to convert them to mp3's. What is the best and easiest way to do this ?
If I buy a usb turntable will it save each of the tracks on a album as a separate mp3 file. Do you need to purchase software to go with usb turntable ?

there are some record players available with built in usb port and they also come along with software - costs here in europe about 100 dollars

Thats crazy, I just did the exact opposite...... Bought a vintage marrantz tube amp and the whole system i set up in the dining room. Pink floyd always sounds better on vinyl than mp3

You don't need to buy a usb turntable . All you have to do, is to plug your turntable RCA output to your audio card input (for example I have RCA inputs on my audio interface ) .Then buy a software like Adobe Audition and then record them . Good luck

...except audition costs $200 more than that turntable with the software that does the work for you.. and they don't need to go buy a new audio card with rca inputs, or find an rca to mini adapter for their current card...
