It seams I can buy it for about $943 an ounce.
I know nothing about it. Tried google and couldn't find much information. I have no problem holding it for like 5+ years though. Is it low or high right now? Or how do I find out?

Gold is great. I don't know about the long-term investment, though.
Virtually all the gold is recycled eventually. So I don't see why the prices should go up in the long term? |

If you like gold, buy mining companies instead, their price will follow the price of gold, and you will get quarterly dividends...
