We would advance as a species. Then again... idiots need something to cling to when they don't understand something. So maybe this would happen:
 Honestly I can't imagine the 7% of people with common sense running things. It just seems way too good to be true. Sort of like finding out icecream and bacon were good for you in large doses. |

Unfortunately religion is the single most important tool used to both manage and oppress people. The world would be better off without it but it would take a few generations of bloodshed and something would replace it.

Just human nature. If it's not fighting over religion it will be over something else. Not to mention all the people who have been repressed because they weren't allowed to do something before will turn into goddamn maniacs, ie jack mormons.
