yesterday i watched a movie about pres. johnson and the vietnam war

tv movie called 'path to war'. The movie showed him as a guy that thought alot about people's rights and do good things, and his conscience couldnt take the war anymore and psychologically it really hit him to see all the inhumane images he caused. So hard that he decided not to run for president for the 2nd term.

Now i dont know if this is all true since its ofcourse a movie, but it got me thinking. I think that the people of parties presenting presidential candidates learned from this and in the case of Bush really went out of their way to get a retard running for president without the brain capacity to really think about what he will cause by his decisions, that are fed by his administration.

When i saw the movie, is saw Johnson at the end with a depressed speech torn up from the war he caused. And the image of a few weeks ago of Bush making simple redneck jokes and dancing around with a smirk on his face instantly came to mind - the guy has such a small brain, he doesnt have any compassion because his mind can't comprehend compassion! He's not ruthless, he just doesn't know any better... I kinda feel sorry for him that he's being used like a puppet and doesn't even know it...

He caused? Are you kidding? He inherited it.

For the record, he was probably the most despised president ever by the time he left office.

Hey, hey, LBJ. How many kids did you kill today?

great flick. but if you want to dig deeper watch a documentary called "Why We Fight" and then there's another one in which Robert McNamara recounts a lot of that era called "Fog of War".

yea true, he inherited it allright, but he still had to make the real 'war' call if i go by the movie; he didn't want it but it was already on his plate, but he pulled the trigger. But if he didnt the ignorant ibreed voters would probably call him a coward without even knowing what that war was about, hell - i dont even know now.

Because the youth of today is a bunch of lazy, pussy, keyboard warriors. I laugh at the kids here because I lived what you are watching movies about. I have been to love-ins, be-ins, anti-war protests.

Hell, they can't even get a decent turnout on a weekend protest these days.

Simmer down now, i know its hard for you to make the connection. Makes perfect sense if you know and understand the original objective of the Vietnam war.

Everything is a big joke and a party with Bush Jr.. Look back at his past and you can easily see it. I can't say the guy is outright dumb, I think it's more the way he comes off.

However I really think he is just so fucking naive and in his own little world that he doesn't understand or care about the damage he's done to this country or the people in it. Much less the average civilian in Iraq.

So under the sound leadership of Saddam Hussein this average civilian in Iraq would be better off?

Um yes. Sure he would kill people, sure he kept the different ethnicities apart, sure he was a very very bad man. Though for the average civilian life was much better under his rule.

This is like saying rule under Edward I, Stallin, Mao, Hitler or Pol Pot etc was better than being free. It perplexes me as to how anyone can think your better off living under tyranny than being a free man. If we actually have people thinking this way in the US then we have a lot of lost sheep that need educating.

Would you consider yourself free if China had 200K troops in the USA, running ( or trying to ) the show...

Do you even know the difference between occupation and liberation?

I guess the improvements of a bi-partisain bi-tribal run goverment, Iraqi constitution and bill of rights, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, free enterprise, voting for the first time since 1979, freedom of education and the extra bonuses of hospitals, markets, entertainment squares and there oil incoming being put back into the countries infrastructure dosent count as any kind of freedom for anyone in Iraq?

I will always be free man because im American. If China landed 200k in troops in the US it would be an act of war not liberation. And being a citizen soldier i would take up arms and defend the county, my family and any other American as best i could.

And its koolaid, not coolaid...

and ask her how he freedom is great : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7308393.stm

The only part you are right is that the so called " liberation " was an act of war ...

Nazis ( since you are such a specialist of WWII, and want to bring that in the subject ) had the same view as you .. they were " liberating " ..

.. and even thne US media doesn't refer to the military operation as liberation, but as invasion ....

BTW, in your case, it is Coolaid ....

So this one lonely sob story of how radical Islamists killed her father and she moved to a smaller house is your counterweight to all the things i listed?
You could apply that same article to any other county where radical Islamists are on the lose.

And the Third Reich was not liberating anyone, if anything its goal was to unify the germanic lands of old and to create and racially pure superpower something similar to the Holy Roman Empire. After all Himmler, Heydrich and Hitler modeled the Third Reich after it and spoke about it in almost every address at the nuremberg rallies. And i am somewhat of a WWII connoisseur and most likely know more than you seeing how i have a Military History Degree from OSU.

The word invasion is the descriptive word used to define whats going on...not to define the purpose of the actions.

And its still Koolaid...

I am sorry, but I have to ask. Can you read English?

Did I say there were "no" anti-war protests, or did I say "they can't even get a decent turnout on a weekend protest?"

That protest was on a Saturday. The permit estimated 10,000 people would be there. Of course, the people putting on the protest said 100K attended, but they ALWAYS exagerate that stuff for the press.

I stand by my original statement.

I am sure that plays a big part of it. So is it your contention that we need to implement a draft in order to end this war?

Because the government learned from Vietnam.

For decades they have cut the domestic school funding. Dumb down the education in this country so you have a bunch of brain dead worker bees that are content to work for their corporate masters without question. Bury their finances in the "American Dream". Lock them up in the golden handcuffs so they can't AFFORD to hang their balls out there, march on Washington, or do anything that cuts a few bucks out of their bi-weekly..

So apathetic they can barely lift their lard asses off the couch, much less vote or care about anything that doesn't effect them directly. To get Americans out from the TV to care about anything on a 'global' or national front, it will have to get a lot worse. Like a draft.

Bush and the current administration know this. Which is why they fight putting in a draft to add some more human kindling to the "global war for their corporate masters".

Nothing like a draft to initiate an uprising.

Anti-war folks want a Munich agreement with Islamists and Communists.

I was going by the question you asked me. I agree with your statement to someone else.

How much air time did that protest get?

Or this one?

Did I say there were "no" anti-war protests, or did I say "they can't even get a decent turnout on a weekend protest?"

That protest was on a Saturday. The permit estimated 10,000 people would be there. Of course, the people putting on the protest said 100K attended, but they ALWAYS exagerate that stuff for the press.

I stand by my original statement.

And then set up perfectly to be brainwashed by a slick speaker like Obama. Pre-Nazi germany had the same problem.

Correct me if im wrong here but are you saying the Bush Admin is trying to reinstate the military draft? If so your horably incorrect and so uninformed is scary to think your able to vote.

The last Draft proposal was introduced in 2004 by a Democratic New York congressman Charles Rangel. He had 27 signers all democrats that wanted to hear and see the legislation hit the floor. After 3 failed attempts in 2006 he made his final proposal and ended his effort.

Link to his last proposal in 2006 - http://www.house.gov/list/press/ny15...t02142006.html

How odd that not one Republican singed on but yet they are the ones who are coined as blood thirsty for war.

.
You're a perfect example of my point. Starting with reading comprehension.

Let me dumb it down for you chief. I said, Bush admin (neo cons) know that as long as there IS not draft. Lazy, apathetic Americans will continue to sit on their couch in front of the television stuff ing their face. Unless it effects THEM DIRECTLY (via draft in my initial point) then they do not care, which is why the Bush administration and your corporate masters can continue raping this country six ways from Sunday.

Got it?

Your definition of large numbers and mine differ significantly.

My reading comprehension is perfect, i think your english and way of communicating a view point is flawed. So your initial point was that the Bush Admin is fighting against the draft to keep Americans, fat, dumb, lazy and spoiled sheep?

Now i get it, its the Bush Admin that makes people lazy, its the Bush Admin that makes people eat and get fat. Its the Bush Admin that forces the population to go out and spend money they dont have. Its the Bush Admin that restricts people from going to public schools and colleges.

Fucking'a man, and all this time i thought it was just peoples lack of effort to become a better American and make something out of themselves. I had no idea that the Bush Admin was secretly and delibritly forcing people to become degenerates of society.

First off, its Fascism not Facism.

So exactly how is Corporate America seeking to forge a type of national unity, usually based on (but not limited to) ethnic, cultural, racial, and/or religious attributes? Go ahead about point out all your examples of how they are doing this on a day to day basis in America.

Nah. I have nothing to prove to you, or anyone else. But feel free to keep going. You're on a teenager, e-penis roll.
