What is the worst concert you have ever been to?

I have been to more good ones than bad ones but I would put Hootie and the Blowfish at the top. It was outdoor and the first show of their first big tour and my sister wanted to go so I took her. She is also responsible for for me going to see Boys to Men which were pretty poor too.

What is the worst concert you have been to?

I can accept the fact that he was really old so the performance is nothing like used to be but he sang no more then 3 mins. The show was about 60 mins and he opened his mounth for 3 mins I swear.
Respect but my the last memmory of him is no good

Had to be the W.A.S.P. / KISS show I was forced to go see in Virginia back in '86. The sound and performances were just awful. I had a good buzz and this made it slightly tolerable, but the show really, really, sucked.

I swear all they did was stand around and play their instruments the whole time...no moving around..almost no audience banter...it was like watching figures at a wax museum just stand around while music played...

The vince Neil Band sucked so bad... I've seen Motley often and each time it was amazing, but Vince's band was so bad..He played less than 10 songs, threw the mic in the audiance and hit a girl in the face and left.

He was wearing the ugliest bowling shirt, a glitterry headband, was fat and out of shape, and didn't know the words to the song ( but that's always been like that). What a fucking ass hole he is...

About 7 years ago I won the Miller Blind Date concert. It was cool because it was catered and all the beer you could drink for free. The closed down a nice club in town and only 250 people were allowed in. Anyways, Fuel opened up and they were great! As they got done with their final song they said "Get ready to make some noise for the Red Hot Chili Peppers." Everyone was screaming and going apeshit for around 20 minutes, you hear a guitar start up and the curtain drops, its Better than Ezra. We got pwnd by Fuel

Saw the Police last June and was horribly disappointed. Was so hoping they would have captured the days of old but with Sting freeforming every song and then he brought out the pan flute and all the noticeable fuckups from Andy Summer, I was outta there about 30 mins. early.

Manowar - by far a massive margine

I have never been a fan of their music but they were a part of a festival I attended 3 years ago - as far as thtey promoted themselves to be the biggest "superstars" they played like 3,5 hours including 20 minute solo on bass, 30 minutes of thanks to the sponsors.

It was terrible I was wondering when will they pull their dicks and start to jerk off.. the band is a joke.

Back in the 80's, a david lee roth concert. No idea how the music was, but it was the "just say no" era, and after the band came on, it hit the fan.

They turned up all the houselights and in through every door in the arena comes hundreds of rent-a-cops who forcibly removed everyone with a joint, pipe, bottle or bong and trucked them down to the catacombs of the basement for fingerprinting, photographing, questioning or arrest.

Aerosmith in 1978. I was only 15 years old, it was one of my first concerts and I was still disappointed. Nobody should ever go on stage that fucked up. Steven Tyler was practically unconscious, hanging onto his mike stand to keep from falling over and slurring his way through the songs. Joe Perry was playing about half a measure behind the band and eventually fell on his ass at one point. The crowd wasn't much better, chucking M-80s and bottles all over the place.

saw the Screaming Trees/Soul Asylum/Spin Doctors show years ago.

The Spin Doctors just S-U-C-K-E-D. They saved their big single at the time for the 'encore' song and people were walking out in droves while they played. You could hear them trying to get through the song even faster so the arena didn't empty before they were done.

I saw Slashes Blue Balls with a host of other garbage metal bands at the Roseland Theater in Portland. The only thing I got out of it was the ringing in my ears that didn't go away for 3 or 4 days. What a horrible band that was, good thing he found Velvet Revolver, at least they have some good songs.

When I was a kid my mother dragged me to several Air Supply concerts. I remember they were terribly boring and that I fell asleep at every single show.

I'd have to say the concert wasn't bad, so much as the act before the opener was horrid. Went and saw Gojira, Job For A Cowboy, and Behemoth maybe 6 months ago. Gojira was great, and I really wanted to see Behemoth, who was the headliner. But Job For A Cowboy was so fucking bad I left 4 songs into them playing, they were just that bad.

i cannot say it was a bad concert, just a bad performance. The opening act for the recent Guns n' Roses tour was Sebastian Bach with his new band. He was awful.

The Darkness...I only went because a friend gave me a ticket and it was fucking terrible. I still can't believe the show was soldout and the worst part about it was the band kept having the crowd do the "over the head hands clap in rhythm" thing for the ENTIRE set. Seriously for over an hour people were clapping their hands over their heads. I was screaming at people to stop being sheep and put their fucking arms down.

I had 10th row. Me and my buddy ( who died last year) moshed it hard core. I left with a bloody lip and a blackeye. Good times I tell ya, Good times

Worst concert = Belinda Carlisle.... (hey, i was only 8 or 9 and my friend had front row seats at Carowinds LOL )

best concert ever = Phish, 12/31/99 @ Big Cypress (not their best music performance i saw in my 100 or so phish concerts... but overall the best damn week of music in my life!)

some interesting comments.

I went to alanis cause i knew her band was stacked the first tour.

Taylor hawkins the drummer went on to play with Foo fighters.

The guitar player had a stint with the red hot chilli peppers.

the bass player is now in janes addictoin.

They tore it up band wise.

Guns n Roses... horrible mess, sounded like shit, the only thing that held them together was the click track. Axel running around like a spaz and doing 20 wardrobe changes was a fucking joke. Good thing the tickets were free.

Guns is definitely right up there. I saw them with Body Count and Metallica. I was in general admission and got there so early I ended up in the front row at Arrowhead Stadium in KC. Body Count was first and was decent, Metallica was next and was fucking amazing and then Guns was last (fortunately). We left about 20 minutes into Guns. That redheaded idiot Axl absolutely killed the show.

We were right up front and being as they are from the Philly area and that was where we saw them I sort of expected it to be a good show. However, being right up front I couldn't shake the feeling that I thought they were lip syncing which I wouldn't have expected from them.
