ADVICE on prof. hdd data recovery
I thought i had raid one, on my new server.
I specifyed that i needed some good way of dealing with hardware failure, and was promised it. Had data loss 2 months ago, i suffered some data loss. Tried to get someone to look at it - but it seemed like they didnt take me seriouly, and i was told i was Human Error, eventhough i had been nowhere near that hdd for weeks. My own back up died 2 days ago, when my external burned off. today my sites was acting a bit wierd - thought it was ddos or something. CHOCK ![]() Was told my hdd was stopping. now - i have lost everything - as i had no raid 1 - and no home backup ( wonder if karma is trying to tell me something. ) Have contacted one company - but they ask 2500 - 3500 dollars. As my income is right now a bit fat ZERO i was wondering if it can be done cheaper but professionally ? my server is in texas - so im looking for an american company - i need to get my sites up and running please advice

Yeah it is expensive. Only time I ever sprung for HDD recovery I think I paid around $2000.

if the data has no value to you I am sure you can find some free software that may or may not work.
I know a company that can do it, but not for free. |

well the data is very very valuble.
but my cash flow is low.... meaning, if i can get a recovery for 2k i wouldt like it much more than 3,5 k. I invested alot of money last week, draining my stash of cash... seems like a bad idea right now
