Whic pci sata card to get?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ard.&x=23&y=24
Which one is best to give me the maximum extra sata slots? I don't need RAID, whatever that is, I just have a normal regular pc. My comp only has 2 sata slots and I need a lot more to plug in all my internal drives and burner etc etc Right now I have 2 internal drives plugged but had to unplug the burner cause not enough room, so ghetto. Which one has the most slots? Reading that Newegg page is giving me a headache right now. |

Don't fuck with an add-on card, just buy a cable adapter for what you need, they're like $4-5 at your local comp store and they make em for every possible conversion you could ever need. I had to buy one cause my power supply only had 2 sata power cables... was like $2.95 or some shit.
The only sata expansion card I ever tried had shitty buggy drivers and didn't even work. |

Promise isn't as good as 3ware, but it's a lot cheaper.

If you only have 2 SATA slots, you should buy a new motherboard and be done with it. A modern board has 6.
Like addon SATA cards are $100+ I think, and a motherboard could be $70, throw in another $60-70 for a CPU, and you've got a major upgrade for a couple extra bucks. |
