I hardly know you, but I feel our paths have crossed and perhaps already there has been irreversible harm done to you and your future. I also wish your family didn't have to go through this. It's going to be tough times ahead for all of you, and I hope that the time you spend here won't damage your psyche that much.

I understand you didn't have much choice in the matter, but it still makes me feel bad to think what you're about to go through.

I'm sorry you were drafted by the Maple Leafs. We need you, but you certainly didn't need us. It's going to be a long, hard road ahead young one.
