Att Dirty Franck: Toronto board approves first black-focused grade school
You heard it here folks. All the news unfit to print! Toronto District School Board trustees have given final approval to Toronto's first Africentric school, but not without another meeting filled with acrimony and charges of racism. The issue is one of the most controversial ever put to the board. The school will open in September 2009, and will occupy unused space at Sheppard Public School, near Sheppard Avenue and Keele Street. It gives blacks the option.
They aren't forcing black students to go to that school. Segregration is huge in Canadian school systems. Every type of person can go to their own type of school in Canada... I really think black people in toronto wanted it.. it's just JK to 5.. The problem I have with it is the SHOCK the kid might have leaving the all black school going into a school where black is the minority again..
