How do they look different when they're loaded for war? I thought all the pointy, blow-em-up stuff was all internal.

You can't see the weapons even when the airplane is loaded for a mission, the weapons are stored in the fuselage this guarantees maximum stealth capabilities.

Once the pilot is ready to shoot the missile the bay area opens and the weapon is brought out to be launched the it closes.

This is why this airplane has a very low radar trace, it is not totally invisible tho.The problem is that if and when you and see it..it's too late.

Dayum...

I remember reading f16's were 30 million a pop years ago. I guess it costs an extra 100 million to get a jet that doesn't fall out of the sky like an f16.

They used to have the Cox Communication Air Show out here in AZ out at an old air force base in deep mesa. It was always a good time with cool planes, but then all the "not in my backyard" sons a bitches moved in and the show was permanently cancelled. Pisses me off.

Then comes a day when we really, really need 'em. Even you would say so that day. Then would you be glad we made the investment? The investment also acts as a deterrent.

Yo dog whats cooking....BTW...F22 raptor will have no EXTERIOR weapons so i dont think it would look any different...thats the purpose of the aircraft.....to be stealthy....thats why weapons are in internal bays

Unless a replublican stays in office we will never get to see any in action....

You know next time USA bombs anyone--and they say iran has those real good russian missle defence batteries---F22's will probably be the main used plane---

not an advocate of war but nothing better than rolling up and watching war on TV...The 1st war with Iraq was best live TV ever...and they didnt have TV's then like they do now
