can smart thumbs do categories?

i was wondering if it can work like madthumbs.com like on the left you see categories...and like if clicked on catagory it displays that catagory only....can smart thumbs do this?

I have one more question. How can i have picture galleries and movie galleries and also have categories(niches) at the same time?

Like what is a good setup?

What im thinking is i can have two buttons on the top of my page:
Movie Galleries | Picture Galleries

By default it would be set to movie galleries

Lets say for example when user clicks picture galleries. And if they choose a category(niche) now it would only display picture galleries for that niche.

Now the thumbs are shown for the niche of the picture galleries
Im confused about something though. How should i have my template? have the days of the week and showing the thumbs? or just one section of the thumbs( like hall of fame)

Will this work? is there any other way to do this?

Any help is greatly appriciated. I really need to figure out what I need to do.

you cant have days of the week....

if you want 2 pages (vids and pics) just use 2nd index function

if you want to have a vid page and a pic page per category just use a comma inside the category for niche pages, that way you have 2 templates making 2 pages per category (1 pics 1 vids)

im still a bit confused.... So i cant have days of the week for the niche pages....
So could i just have thumbs for that niche and then on the bottom have "Pages: 1, 2, 3, 4" etc right?

smart thumbs works based on prod, you can have pics and movies, its all templated, and archiving, take a look at an example

hey how did you get the image of a camcorder and a camera on all the thumbs? did you use photoshop and have it automated or something?
