Favre wants release from the Packers!

He said he was retiring. He said he'd played his last game. He never did file his retirement papers with the league though. Now, Brett Favre wants the Packers to release him so he can play for another team. I just can't see him in anything but a Packers' Uniform.

Ya, read about that yesterday. I don't get it. He made a press conference and everything saying he was finished back in Jan or Feb. Why do athletes flip flop like this? I mean there have been commericals, news stories, ad etc related to Favre's retirement. Now he wants back in...

Hasn't he learned for other people who can't let go... why not just retire instead of coming back and ending up a has been

Haha, what? He tore shit up last season.

He's got something left I'm sure. I just don't know if he'll click as well with new receivers on a different team.

Hopefully he can come back to throw some more interceptions in the fourth quarter.

I was a tremendous fan but have lost almost all respect for him. Not as a player, but as a human being. He has gone from one of the greatest ever... a hero to many, to a lying ego-maniac that thinks the world should revolve and flip-flop around him.

I realize that football is a business, but his latest decision has nothing to do with business. THAT I would have accepted, but having to explain to my son the reasons why his favorite player, a man he literally grew up watching, will now be wearing a different uniform pains me.

Fuck you Brett, you flip-flopping bitch.

No way will the Packers release Favre to play for another team...there would be rioting in the streets of Green Bay.

Oh and if Brett did come back to play and didn't get the starting position there would also be rioting in the streets of Green Bay.

They won't out and out release him, but they may trade him... or just keep him and make him hold Aron's clipboard as they should. They are going to piss off 50% of the people with whatever they do... but there will be no rioting. The truth has come out and people are sick of his indecisiveness. Once you tell people you are leaving, plans are put in place to carry on without you.
