Sears, wow.

Its been ages since I have been to one of these. Melissa sent me up for minivan service. Friendly, fast cheap. What a great American company! Sad this location is a ticking time bomb. I picked up some clothing basics, I don't think it would have been cheaper if I was shopping by the pound! Lol

I buy Craftsman tools from Sears. Seems to be a good value for the money plus the forever warranty on hand tools.

Every so often I'll hit SEARS for some clothes after the season's over. After the 1st of the year the winter stuff goes on sale and you can get a nice $300 jacket for about $60. I'll go in and load up on stuff for next year. End of summer sale doesn't have as much of a markdown but still worth it.

they don't have the forever warranty on stuff like torque wrenches anymore. Or powertools I don't think.

we have a sears outlet here where you can get great appliances that are scratch and dent really cheap. for most if the scratches are on the side, you'll never see the damage anyway.

i think my boyfriend has been swapping his craftsman tape measure for 10 years now. they're pretty stingy with the other tools around here.

I like Sears... every time I need some odd tool I go there for it.

When I took apart my laptop a couple years ago I needed some odd screwdriver and no store had it. Never even thought of Sears until a radioshack employee suggested them. Been going there since.

That sounds about right. KMart is downright shameful with it's garbage though. Sears has some good stuff.

I was posting from my cell phone earlier, perhaps if I had a real keyboard I would have elaborated better. It was an absolute ghost town where I was. This Sears store is like the last thing open in this shopping center in Pontiac, MI. I was simply saying I had a good customer experience and feeling a bit sad that eventually the dinosaur will be dead - there was a bunch of decent people working there and I found the service and value exceptionally good. I hadn't actually been in a Sears for anything but photos with the kids some years back. The shopping was, like, free - almost.

But ya, maybe I still don't know what I'm trying to say.

Brad

I was in a Sears store yesterday. They have a lot of decent stuff though I did not find what I went in for. Some have the auto service centers and some do not. It has been a pretty good store through the years and some how manages to hang on through all the economic changes we have had. I guess Michigan is going through some tough times!
