blogs...wtf?

ok out of all the questions I have asked lately this one in itself will prove how long I've been away from adult website work:

In that 0 to 10k thread everyone is just talking about blogs....have 100 blogs they say What the hell? How on earth do you populate 100 blogs? What kinds of things do you write in them? Do you just constantly say "hey check out this cool site" and point to a sponsor?

Back when I was doing sites a blog was ACTUALLY an online journal, usually associated with a solo girl site as a way of letting her members know what she was up to. I don't understand this blog-network stuff people talk about. Do you actually have content on these blogs or are you just updating with ads?

Have you ever just setup a domain on wordpress, add some sponsor banners, do some "on page seo" make a couple of posts, submit to some directories. then put it on auto update through RSS everyday? If you have, did it bring 10 sponsor hits per day? Is it still bringing 10 sponsor hits per day 1 year later? You know where I'm going with this.....

Some people have a small network of HQ hand updated blogs, some have a wide network of RSS fed blogs, and others have both. From what I understand, all methods can work and make money.

Personally, I've found that HQ unique content blogs work best for me.

1) Buy 10 domains.
2) Install Wordpress on each domain, and pick out a free Wordpress theme for each.
3) Configure them to import sponsor-RSS feeds, and if possible, use a content re-writer so the posts seem original (at least to a greater degree than the original RSS feeds).
4) Start building backlinks, A-B-C and A-B-C-D trades.
6) Hire a cheap outsourced writer and a get a nice bulk deal on blog posts.
7) Post these blog posts every once in a while to make your blog content seem more "original" when taken as a whole.
8) Repeat from step 1.

Enjoy.

Content Re-writer?

People actually make money with this? No wonder it's so hard to find good sites nowadays, the internet is filled with trash.

but yah, content re-writer? Maybe I will try this out...I'm bored :D

I have partners and we all write on the blog network.... Having so many updates grows the blogs up and we all get extra traffic.

I tried coming to GFY for partners and basically people were idiots... So I taught some friends to blog... Now we have an empire.

As for RSS blogs... I had one... didn't do shit... I computed it out and it basically sent about 10 hits to the sponsor a day... I didn't feel like having 1000 blogs around so I could get 10,000 hits to a sponsor converting at TGP ratios of 1:1000 or more.. 10 sales a day on that much work is pointless...

What niches are your blogs in?

and yah, going with friends is probably a much better idea than dealing with people here

Smart. It's hard to find trades here from people with blogs that will last more than a few months or so and/or not drop your trades without telling you, etc etc

Most sponsor out there publish daily RSS feeds, easiest way would be simply re-writing those post in your own words.
