mac people, what email client?
Curious to see what email clients everyone is using on their mac's? I need to finally import my Outlook and Outlook Express accounts into something on OS X but having trouble finding a good program that can import my exports from my windows based machine.
Has anyone had luck doing this? |

Eudora. Simply because you can schedule e-mails like in Outlook. Pretty sure you can't do that in Entourage...not even in the newest version.

Just use OS X Mail. It is fast, great spam filter, and real simple and easy to use.

I have it installed, but the problem is importing my old Outlook and Outlook Express accounts. I really don't want to do it manually when I have 100 or so accounts and emails on those accounts etc.

I use Thunderbird... it's crap sometimes but it's decent at filtering out most spam and usually works.

I just use Mail with some help from Automator and Quicksilver. Guess you need Address Book too, forgot about that.

I'll use Mail if I have to. If I can get my out Outlook and Outlook Express accounts/messages imported lol. There has to be a tool out there that does this. I've done a few searches and found a few programs but they really don't have reviews etc so I don't want to shell out the cash and hope they work.

This might help getting your contacts imported into Address Book.

Receiving actual "email" files on your computer is so 1990.

Thunderbird for sure. It has good junk mail learning capabilities and you can always utilize plugins if you want.
I tried entourage for like 5 min and the junk mail just kept flowing. Too much of a pain to make a bunch of rules. Another option is Gmail. Download the gmail notifier. It shows up on your toolbar by the time.

I think you need to save your old emails in some sort of Raw Text format. But yeah...transferring stuff between Mac's and Windows is a royal pain in the arse.

I use Thunderbird. I use IMAP on all my email accounts so it's the same from any client from any machine.
