Your Ideas about starting a niche job board?
I have been thinking lately about starting a niche job board. Either by concentrating on a certain geographical location or a certain type of industry. You guys have any input, or pointers? Do you think this online market is to saturated? Any input would be appreciated!

Nothing is saturated if niched and niched...but job boards are dominated by 3 big ones and there are a ton of smaller aggregating boards, with places like Jobster/ LinkedIn and others the problem is having companies buying slots on your board when they have more exposure to larger sites and places. Ex. LinkedIn is dirty cheap to post and announce jobs to your network (free for premium users) and for job seekers they can now go to jobster and have a resume blasted everywhere and look at gigs from all the boards...

so simple answer prob a failed model too late

you could probably take a good share away from craigslist/local papers/websites if you branded it right and got the SEO down
