Seattle People

When is the best time to visit?

Since seeking the movie, "Fear", I have always wanted to visit in the fall.

The gf keeps tell me it is fucking raining 99% of the time there. I read and researched some sites on Seattle, and the rain average is similar to where I live in MI. So I think she's hitting the pipe.

Chime in ladies.

What are your interests when coming to Seattle? Rain dont mean a thing unless you plan on being outside doing things that will get you wet and soggy.

Well, I thought about just checking out the city as a whole for a few days. Seeing the sights. So I am guessing some of it would be outside.

How much does it rain there exactly? I mean, is it like Florida or London where it rains for 10 min and stops, but it's everyday??

SOmetimes its rains all day..sometimes it doesnt. You will be able to go around and see most of the city in one or two days. I wouldnt worry too much about it .

If you get the chance, you should take a short trip to the mountains....They are close and BEAUTIFUL!!

Sweet. Thanks all.

I wanted to visit when the leaves are changing, so it's looking like maybe late Sept after Atlanta Forum.

it's hard to use "rain average" to do a comparison between cities, because in Seattle it drizzles for months on end, where in other places it might rain hard for a day and then go sunny for a week

Seattle sucks! I've been here (Redmond area) since 88 and I absolutely hate it here and in 4 years, I can leave!

It rains all the fucking time - even now as I type it's drizzling and the ground is sopping wet. There isn't much color in the fall either. Seattle has 2 weather reports..

If you can't see Mt. Ranier, it's raining.
If you can, it'll rain tomorrow.

http://www.beautifulseattle.com/clisumm.htm <-- pick a month to view the weather of that month

Seattle is pretty nice... compared to where I am now. I lived there for 7 months... yea it rains a lot, BUT it's not like MIDWEST rain, where when it rains, it's a downpour... it more "mists & sprinkles" there... LOL! ...you can deal with the rain, or you can come to the midwest and deal with the miserable cold & snow... and I'm not talkin 30-40 degress in the winter like Seattle is... I'm talkin -20!!!

Amen to that shit.

I am hoping to be bi-coastal, Cali, in a few more years. Escaping the MI winters.
