That cant really help get back your laptop if someone stole it. At NYU they had police officers that said they will place something on people laptop, cell phone, ipod, pda, etc etc. So when I ask the police officer at my university if they are going to place a gps system into my laptop and both he and she said no.
They said they were going to register my serial number. Then i asked what the tracking device it says on the flyer. They said when we find your laptop from the person who stole it we know it belong to you. Now what percentage will they find the person who stole my laptop like less then 10%. So whats the percentage this software will find your laptop. Take a guess if you don't know. You most likely wont get it back. I have never lost my laptop but would like to put a gps device in it if possible then I know I have a 100% on getting it back. |

It wont track your laptop but keep people from seeing data on it by encrypting the entire hard drive itself. |
