TIPS for faster Chameleon gallery submission

There are a lot of webmasters who submit their galleries and if you are pro submiter you definitely need a tool for help. One of the most useful is for sure Chameleon Gallery Submitter.

However submitting with Chameleon Gallery Submitter can be time consuming, boring and unproductive. You will need to optimize your submit process. There are couple things you can optimize. From time you spend on manual submissions to your upload time and disk usage.

So let me explain these three TIPs.

1. Manual gallery submission

After at least 3 months of submitting you need to have statistics about sites who send you traffic. You can use Awstats (almost all hosting now offer this statistics - if your host does not have it you can always check here for hosting). This part of report is called “Links from an external page” in Awstats. Awstats is great because you can filter referer domain you want - just go to “Full List” and use filter there.

This is one of the most valuable tools we need to optimize manual gallery submissions. Once you know how many hits and visits you get from each manually submited TGP you can decide where to submit and where not to submit. With this trick you will remove all that TGPs that send you 10 clicks a month. You don’t need to waste your time for TGPs like this.

2. Reducing upload time

If you check regulary Chameleon Gallery Submitter report tab you will see there which TGPs have got your submission and which did not. You will notice that some of them have blacklisted you for some opscure reasons and some just have odd rules which is pain in the ass to match every time. Those are candidates for removal from your submit database. Removing TGPs that you can’t submit is a must because less HTML will be generated and less time will each gallery upload last.

3rd TIP can be found on pornxspace.com/webmasters - it's my new web for adult webmasters.

Nice ideas.

I a submitting with the original database since Aug 2005. In June 2008 I disabled all TGPs which never sent me any joins. I haven't noticed any drop in traffic or sales, but its much more comfortable to submit like this.

That's true. TGP owners should respect submitters (and vice versa - by obeying rules and submitting quality content) and send them some traffic. It seems that there is a lot of false TGPs whos main purpose is to get webmaster traffic via Chameleon's manual submissions.

If you remove the sites that only send 10 or less, you may be cutting your self out of a sale. it only take 1.

Submit to the hun, and do the math on the sales. it is very poor. and some of the smaller tgps actually have reall good traffic. So i would think twice about that

Agreed.. I always found that smaller tgps had way better quality traffic then the bigger ones!

Well after 1 year of tracking and checking where did sales came from I can tell you that this is a myth. Small sites just take advantage of Chameleon to get webmaster traffic. They usually have poor PR and traffic is mostly bad due to lack of content and bad traffic trades.

Instead of loosing time on small TGPs to make 1 sale a year, I can make 10 galleries and submit them and make 10 sales with them in 2 months. Or you can make a blog. Or just go out and have fun

This is true only for TGPs that send you at least 500 - 900 unique hits per month. I'm suggesting in tutorial that you remove small TGPs that send you 10 hits per month or less.

I have to say that I disagree with you on that one too. What if the site owner just didn't accept your galleries, or only accepted very few of them because he didn't like your sponsor, or your layout/design?
Next month you could be using another sponsor and then he might accept all your galleries and send you ton's of traffic!

I agree with you that there are tons of sites out there where it's not worth to submit too, but I was always someone who kept submitting to all places where I might have a chance to get listed. So many things are changing all the time with gallery submitting, an what doesn't work now might be working great next year ;)

I just started using Chameleon and when I think about all the things that suck up my time, taking half a second to build a page to submit to a possibly less-productive tgp is not one of the ones I'm worried about.

It takes some tgp sites a long time to approve posts, even months. You're just shooting yourself in the foot if you stop submitting to sites that haven't sent you traffic because they haven't even posted your galleries . . . YET.

I have never experienced such thing. There is too much "what if". I could argue with "what if" he did not like next sponsor or new layout? We will never know. But you don't want to work with "what if" traffic source anyway.

I think this statement is not true. Gallery submitting is one of the most static "niches" in adult. There are few new big players (TGPs) and traffic is controlled mostly by big old sites which have almost standard rules.

Problematic are those that need manual submission. And you need to enter visual code. Most of them have so complex code that you easily end up entering it couple times before you guess right combination of upper / lower case or some extremly strange font... These things should worry you, because with default Chameleon DB you have about 40 - 50 manual submissions. This will take your time for sure.

That's why I have wrote that you need to do this after 2 or 3 months of submissions. This is time usually needed for example for The Hun to review your site. You could even make it 6 months. I bet there is 0.1% chance somebody will list your gallery which was submitted 6 months ago. And in the end this would be just 1 gallery listed... and you took time to submit 100 galleries... just doesn't make any sense...
