Who Watched The Belgian Grand Prix Today??

I thought it was brilliant all the way through. Always something going on in todays race. Sometimes the races can be a bit boring, but there was spins, overtaking, accidents and then rain at the end and which made it an amazing finish. Glad Lewis Hamilton won it tho... Really can't see anyone stopping him this year in becoming World Champion.

what the hell did Raikkonen do when the rain came on, it seemed like he thought the best idea would be to floor it

Kimi fucked up bigtime. Not really his fault but it was gutting seeing him put it into the wall after leading all race.

I think Kimi eased off when the rain got heavier then realised Lewis wasn't holding back and tried to get back on it again but it was too late. They were coming and going for a bit then Lewis locked down the position before almost crashing and both Kimi and Lewis had to get out of the way of another car, then Kimi just pulled his rear end out and put the car into the wall. It was plain sailing from then on in.

There is an Investigation going on now tho regarding what happened between the two. I think it would be very harsh if Lewis was stripped of his points tho, he was fair all the way in his tussle with Kimi.

brilliant result for lewis he didn't give up and it paid off in the end
massa wasn't far behind though

I think the ferrari's have more pace but when it starts raining neither massa or raikonen can keep it on the track

alonso had a good result too

I would say now the Ferraris have more pace. In the first part of the season they didn't, but in summer testing they've worked out a lot of things. Thing is tho, coming up to the races in Singapore, Japan etc, anything can happen. Most likely there will be rain and that seems to give McLaren and Lewis the edge in my opinion. Would love to see him win the Championship before getting to Brazil tho.

Amazing race.. Kimi didn't know what to do really on the rain. In that "almost crash" he pulled it nicelly, and was ahead of Lewis, but then when he was getting out of the curve, he just lost controll and spun stupidly. Then later, he again did the same thing. He was taken by the rain.

Hamilton demoted to 3rd after being penalized with a 25 second penalty after his incident at the chicane with Kimi.

I don't know why they have given him the penalty. Even the commentators, Charlie Whitting and Ron Dennis said they thought it would be ok. Seems to be always controversy when McLaren are involved. But last race Massa was released from his pit box when he shouldn't have been and was only fined 10,000 euros. Its rediculous.

Thats bullshit he had to go off or crash and then he gave him the lead back so he didn't take an advantage from it

Then a few laps late Kimi binned his car all on his own anyways

that's a bad descision, but i wonder if they're trying to ensure a close exciting finish to the championship.

Yep and I think Kimi won't be too happy about supporting Massa for the last 5 races. Watch out for Ferrari trying to sign up Alonso for next season with Kimi going elsewhere.

McLaren was caught cheating with the whole Ferrari thing eariler this year, there is no way the FIA is going to go light on them this year. McLaren will be under the microscope for the next year or two I'd guess.

Um, Hamilton did overtake kimi on that runoff, but he let him go past him when they got on the straight line, then overtook him again on the next turn. So he did nothing wrong technically, since he should be penalised only if he got the position because of running offroad. I call shenanigans.

Yes by how much? 3 feet?

youtube.com/watch?v=74TZngbIS9I (1:08)

And then he went into Kimi's slipstream and could overtake him easily. I don't know the rules by how much you need to let a car pass, but no doubt he had advantage of this situation.

I'm sure he would/could have overtaken Kimi anyway later, but that's another story.

It was clear for everyone to see that Kimi had taken his foot off due to the rain. He was scared of crashing out - which eventually happened - and wasn't giving everything. Lewis was still brave and fighting for position. Wasn't his fault that Kimi decided to slow down a bit and push him off the track. I strongly feel the result will be overturned on appeal.

Massa gained no advantage - he was sparring with a lapped car in the pitlane and no incident was caused, AND Massa gave way.

Shit even a 10k Euro fine seems too steep.

Well i dont know the exact rules. I know the comentator here was saying Hamilton HAS to let kimmi pass now, as he did. He did not mention by how much, so i dont think rules actually state by how much you have to let a guy pass you, but he let him. Would be interesting if someone knew that part
And kimmi fucked up later anyway on 2 occasions. Once when he was clearly infront, and later when trying to catch up, so the incident didn't really have to do anything with Hamilton's win..

That's my 2c ofcourse. Damn nice race :P

Hamilton let him get back in front but then used that speed advantage that he gained in the corner to pass him a second time. If Hamilton would have a waited a turn or two he wouldn't have been penalized, it was just too soon to make that second pass so it negated the fact he gave up the position right after the corner.

What's next, no kicking the ball into the net in soccer because the defender was blinded by the sun???!!! Lewis prevented the inevitable accident by going straight.

For the record, Massa is a faggot ass daddy's boy that has Schumacher teaching him all his secrets and he has the fastest car to boot.. little fuck is spoiled while Lewis is pure talent. Youtube "Lewis Hamilton go karting" and you'll see this kid is a pure racer.

sorry ros. I'm a Ferrari fan. and i prefer Renault any day to mclaren. i know they are having a difficult year. it was a fantastic race indeed. poor Kimi. but i heard in the night that hamilton has been demoted of his first place. i surely feel the tackle was pretty bad (the way he tackled kimi in the final laps). in my opinion kimi was an absolute winner, though he couldn't finish off the race
