All Countries in BBC Poll Prefer Obama to McCain

I just found this article: http://www.marketwatch.com/news/stor...C%7D&dist=hppr

Worldwide, Obama kills McCain in the polling of who they like better, etc.

I'm not going to really comment, other than I find it very interesting the statistical difference domestic vs worldwide.

Neo cons dont want the world to like us. They want to conquer the world in a religious plight.

unless Obama and Biden absolutely slaughter McCain and Palin in the debates the race is over. can't believe the hapless Democrats will manage to blow an election following 8 years of a pretty much despised Republican Administration, an economy in tatters, an unwinnable war - only the Democrats could manage that.

Obama was a supernova - he peaked way too early

I agree it is quite interesting that the rivals and enemies of the United States who are opposed to US power and influence all prefer Obama. I wonder why that is....... even on this board the people who hate the US the most are the ones screaming the loudest for Obama. I guess they think that an Obama victory will weaken America. On this I agree with them.

You are wrong, I'm with Clinton, I see Obama and not by a little either. The gloves are coming off, and I think they know how to run a good campaign. It's close right now, but we're still 60 days out. The hype from Palin is settling down, and now whoever runs a better campaign will win. They need to get nasty, and they are starting to.

Makes you wonder how they would run the country. I fucking hate McCain but seriously this SHOULD have been a slam dunk for the dems and they fucked up this easy election. Clearly not qualified to fix any of Bush's fuck ups. Not saying McCain is.

In my opinion this is the only valid reason to vote for Obama.

They're both lying deceptive politicians that won't really change anything, however Obama's been able to fool people both globally and locally.

Since we're screwed either way here in America, I guess we should elect the one who can at least help our reputation in the world while our empire crumbles.

They've run a perfect campaign.

The problem is simple math:

dumb Americans + racist Americans + republican die hards > smart Americans

I agree. Unless Obama and Biden come off as dolts during the debates, I think they're going to win this election. The McCain campe has really set up Palin for a great fall from celebrity grace. The hype/novelty act is wearing off already.

McCain is coming off as same-old even when it comes to campaign tactics. Karl Rove even came out saying the smears in his ads have gone overboard. That he has 7 major corporate lobbyists running his campaign smacks of hypocrisy when rallying against lobbyists.

I have no allegiance to either party and I think Obama's domestic economic plan is worse than McCain's (at least in short term, because "punishing" wealthy WILL trickle down and be felt), but Obama's plan provides an opportunity the get the national debt under control, and McCain's championing of the Iraq war which costs billions really offsets the bonus of his plan. Maybe a bit of pain is required to correct the damage of the past 8 years.

I'm not a Libertarian but I agree with many of their principles and Libertarians should be choosing Obama. http://www.marginalrevolution.com/ma...bertarian.html

Could have buried McCain and the repubs once and for all with the selection of Hillary but chose to mix personal feelings with business. Next, he took the bait on that Saddleback "phony cone of silence" ambush where McCain knew all the questions and Obama didn't, which allowed McCain to look brilliant and Obama to look flat in comparison. We'll all remember these 2 mistakes as the beginning of the end.

The media is trying to down play Obama because the Republicans would throw a fit if they gave Obama all the press he deserves.

As long as the people get out and vote, McCain stands no chance.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the...on_in_aug.html

"Democrat Barack Obama again shattered the monthly record for presidential fundraising, bringing in $66 million in August,"

"In August, Obama expanded his already enormous list of donors, adding more than 500,000 first-time donors"

The U.S. agrees with the world, now if we can just have a fair count of votes.

Yeah, the news media plays a huge role in elections. I think that as the new story of the month, they ran with Palin. In general, I think after about 2 years of coverage there was a bit of Obama-fatigue in terms of news coverage. But at the end of the day, whether one agrees with his position or not, there is substantive difference in his plans than what has occured under Bush and what McCain's plans are.

The fact that Obama continues to break records for financial support means the momentum has only increased.

Back to the media's role. "McCain-Palin Crowd-Size Estimates Not Backed by Officials"

The Gov is here to protect us, not start wars that solve nothing and for sure not start illegal wars the people don't agree with. And neither of these wars, protects against terrorism. You would have to be pretty stupid to think that.

And why would all these countries be pissed at us? Could it be that we have surrounded them, force sanctions and our rule of thumb on them, illegally occupy holy lands that they have yelled at us for years for being in, and we are the only ones still in the lands we don't own? Maybe for giving them money/food/weapons and then blowing them up?

We all get pissed at the bully, and America is being the bully. Once the bully stops, the people stop getting pissed at them.

So by staying on the course of War, we won't weaken Ameirca, we will break it.

Except that the average hockey mom (aside from being a mom) doesn't share much in common with Palin. The average hockey mom is appalled when introduced to the moose and fox-hunting, anti-abortion, Creationist, pro-war politician side of Palin.

I'm not arguing whether it's right or wrong to hunt, for example, but a large voting block of people (the hockey moms), tend not to favor those activities. The Feminists and WildLife/Environmentalist groups back Obama.

conservatism is the result of liberal failure... when everyone only thinks of themselves and what they want it leads to destruction of a society...

social conservatism

think of the greater of society... not just your self

if u want to indulge in sin, do it behind closed doors.

let religion and "america the good" influence the uneducated and uninformed..

i understand religion is a social mechanism to preserve the advancement of society..

if u are unhappy with the way things are, why dont u have the balls to start a revolution..

btw, i support ron paul.. he actually knows whats up.. however i know that there is nothing i can do about anything, nor can you. so u need to adapt.

i understand the gop is corrupt and fooling the sheep, and stealing oil, but it is for the advancement of america. thats what i care about

the only way to change is thru revolt, but i dont care.. im just going to roll with the punches, my life is great.

Correct, but that doesn't mean every war has been for Americas Freedoms. The Iraq war very much has nothing to do with our freedoms, and 90% of Afgan too. Laying a oil pipe, and going to illegal war, ect.. hasn't done anything for the greater good of America.

If you enjoy your freedoms, maybe you should stand up and take arms. The Muslims religious freaks have already started to invade this Country. They are slowly ripping it apart from the inside out by using our religious hold backs and legal system to firmly plant the Muslim stain into our Society.

I'm all for war related to our Freedom. Just the correct war, not bullshit wars that do nothing. We need our troops back home, so everyone can kick the Muslim threat out of our country, which has quickly started to build and is highly being ignored by the media due to fear.

Viva La Liberals!

i agree with getting the muslim threat out of our country

but the "illegal war" is strategic, just not being explained to the sheep of this country.

the government in history has done lots of dirt without advertising it to the people...

just like eating meat, no one wants to talk about the butcher who does the dirty work, they just want the happy meal.

It is a strategic move, for someone. But that doesn't mean it will or did make our Country better, stronger, or give us more freedoms. It has done everything but that and that was your argument.

We aren't the butcher, we are the guys that came in and killed the butcher and took the meat away, without asking, but no worries - we said the meat was bad and since we have guns and tanks, you will listen.

i think it will, i think that our country is acting in the best interest of our country.

realistically, there is nothing we can do about it either way, obama or mccain, dem or repub, the elites make the decisions we live by

the only alternative is move to another country or start a revolution.

i prefer dealing w/ it and enjoying the freedoms i have and that our country fights to keep.

What in the hell are you talking about?

The Kingdom of Great Britain and the thirteen colonies under the rule of King George III was governed by a Constitutional Democratic Monarchy. Which means it was a Authoritarian Capitalist Republic. The Founding Fathers (Framers) fought against and opposed secularism and privatization of religious belief imposed by government.

Do you even know what your talking about when you post comments or do you just pull shit out of thin air and go with what sounds good?

Say what?? The Charters of Freedom is what has virtually been undone by 8 years of Republican rule... not to mention economic failure, a failure in war and not to mention achieving the worst approval rating ever.

People of the world want Obama because they don't hate America. Because they hate to see what's become of America. And because they want to RESTORE the Charter of Freedom upon which America was founded.

It's unbelievable that an entire world can see how bad things have gotten in 8 years but the very people in the middle of it are so blind.

Those arent facts, those are assumptions...ones that you conjured up denouncing others as to make yourself feel better about your own personal failures.

unless Obama and Biden absolutely slaughter McCain and Palin in the debates the race is over. can't believe the hapless Democrats will manage to blow an election following 8 years of a pretty much despised Republican Administration, an economy in tatters, an unwinnable war - only the Democrats could manage that.

Obama was a supernova - he peaked way too early
Look at it this was McCain will fuck thing up even more. The old saying goes "we get the giovernment we deserve". So if the American public is stupid enough to vote McCain/Palin in after 8 years of Bush then this country deserves to get fucked in the ass even more. I can give retards a mulligan on voting Bush in the first time. But the 2nd time? Ok that's a special kind of retarded. And if you want Bush term 3? Then seriously you deserve to be homeless sucking cock for $5.

Easy election?

This is a deeply divided America, this is NOT an easy election, no matter how you look at it.

Hillary wants too bad to be the top dog, and Obama may have felt that she would have been too head strong; wanting more power than he would have wanted her to have.. Lots of power struggles maybe... Then there would have been Bill, who might have wanted to be too much in the picture..

I'm thinkin' Obama just didn't want the possibility of a bunch of headaches with her by his side..

You got me there, but my facts about Mccain are solid which is why you have no rebuttal.

FACT: Mccain cheated on is wife and left her because of illness and cannot be trusted.

John and Carol where both dealing in adulterous behaviour, they have both talked about this candidly. What illness? Her car wreck of 1969 left her permanently crippled and she would need life long medical care that John has paid for ever since.

Lots of politicians have cheated on there wives - Eliot Spitzer, Bill Clinton, John Edwards to name a few. Going by your theory none of these men can be trusted either?

FACT: He has allready been caught with his hand in the cookie jar so why give him a second chance.

Once again Eliot Spitzer, Bill Clinton, John Edwards all with hands caught in the cookie jar so why give them a second chance?

FACT: Mccain was a below average soldier and student.

So what? Patton, Bradley and Eisenhower where looked at as subpar Military leaders until they where given the chance to lead. Now they are looked at some of the greatest Military minds the world has even known.

FACT: Mccain knows nothing about the economy or foreign policy.

And Barry Obama a two year Senator with only 143 days on the upper house floor does?

FACT: Mccain cannot read a teleprompter, use a computer, or hold a debate without looking like a hot head spoiled brat.

He reads the teleprompter just fine, but preferes the townhall style format.

He cant use a computer because he cant bend his arms and fingers due to cartilage growth between the joints that was brought on by the injuries he sustained as a POW.

His debating skills are above average, at least he answer a question in 25-30 words unlike Barry who has cant answer one in under 80-100.

Further more, none of these are issue to vote or not vote for a president.

FACT: Mccain picked his running mate not for the better of the country but to pander to religous fanatics.

He picked her to energize the Republican base, just as Barry picked Biden to energize the Democratic blue collar working class.

FACT: Mccain lies like a 3rd grader about everything and everyone.

This is debatable, you can say the same about Barry.

FACT: Mccain has horrible dental hygeine and his arms are stiff as my cock, which will be the laughing stock of the world.

His teeth look fine to me, and i already explained his arms up above.

I could go on foreveer with reasons Mccain is not qualified to be our president.

So far you havent listed one legitimate reason or giving a constructive argument as to why...maybe becuase you cant and your simply not educated enough to hold court on that level.

Oh yeah, he has to copy every political move Obama makes because he is a copy cat loser.

List all the things he has copied, im guessing you cant name 5.
