Do a lot of people still use AOL these days?

I haven't heard about AOL much anymore, no new commercials or anything really... is a big chunk of the US still on AOL or have most moved on?

Do new people still sign up to AOL at heavy rates?

Actually AOL is still the 4th largest ISP in the US with 8 million subscribers. There are millions of people that still can only use dial-up.

They used to be the largest ISP in the US but Steve Jobs didn't have a plan for the future so AOL is definitely loosing mass amounts of customers daily. I remember it being a pain in the ass to cancel my account, they have retention set up to try to keep you by giving you 2 free months. I have highspeed now and its been 4-5 years since i had dial up.

just look for people who email, or post on forums with messages like this:

HI I EM A SCHMART PERSEN YOO NEDE TWO BEY ME SIGHT, THE BIGEST SIGHT ON THE MY INTERNETS: Sexy laties

AOL users are still out there, but I do see less of their ALL CAPS stupidity lately.. They do not know what the internet is, and I believe AOL is probably trying to seclude their dumbassed users more and more, .. just so that they never learn anything.. hence keeping all their low IQ bastards in one spot..

If the common AOL fucknuts find out the Internet is not AOL, then they might lose customers... LOL..

I think AOL is/was Steve Case.

Many people still use dialup and many people keep using them for email instead of the hassle of changing accounts. Their webmail isn't too bad actually.

I will embaressingly admit that I started out on AOL. Granted I was 14 years old and I was the only one of my friends who owned their own computer! I used it for quite a few years until I learned there were bigger and better things out there ;)
