Goddamn I love this iPod Touch

So I needed something like an iPhone to help me properly test some of the sites I build for mobile. But I'm not on AT&T and didn't wanna go through the hassle of switching carriers, contracts, etc (I had just left AT&T earlier this year) And I didn't wanna get an "iPhone wanna-be" phone. My friends with iPhones were getting sick of me bugging them to use their shit. Finally (I know I'm slow) I figured out that getting an iPod Touch was the solution.

But now, I'm in love with the damn thing. and how smart was it for Apple to make it so much like an iPhone for all of us who can't/won't go to AT&T?

ya i got the 16gb model, kinda pissed they came out with 32gig a month later, but mines jailbroken, have like 8 pages of apps on it, lots of NES roms, its pretty fun

i picked up the 8gig model thinking i was only gonna use it minimally for music/apps, and mainly use it for the built in stuff.

now i regret that but oh well

is it easy to type on it? i like to jot down ideas.

i plan on not getting a touch because android will be released later this month. why buy something like a touch that cant place calls? instead, i'll get the google phone, pop in a fat mem card to store my music, browse the web, AND place calls.

I have one too. but I don't know how to use it. What this about roms? Can it play old video games? How do I get it onto the itouch?

All I want is Tron. But there's no buttons.. how do you control the games?

Not if you have fat fingers like me. The keys show up and when you touch them they get bigger, but trying to touch the right one is hard. Maybe you could get a stylus or some shit, but for people with human sized fingers like me, it's kinda hard.

like Red, i got some pretty large fingers (hello ladies) and typing can be tricky sometimes but you get used to it.

i was gonna get the htc touch diamond. from what i remember, the android wasn't gonna be available from my cell company ( i might be wrong). but most importantly, i needed the iphone or something close to it to properly test what my traffic sees. i was afraid a different touch phone wouldn't allow me to test properly

Red: lol have you used that Apps button on your touch? takes to to a store where you can get a bunch of games. some are free. i've only copped a few free apps/games but it's pretty easy to install em
