When flying on plane, ok to put liquids in gallon bag??

If you can't find a quart sized clear bag and don't have time to go to the store, is it ok to put it in a gallon size bag or will they not allow it? (If the stuff is not a lot and would fit in a
quart size bag anyways)...

Avoid the hassle and pick up travel sized stuff when you get to your destination.

The liquids I carry don't really come in travel sizes and I use them while on the plane too.

Is it possible for a quart sized bag to be 8.5" long? I found a bag and I think its quart sized, but it's 8.5" long and 7" wide, its the brand ziploc, but online it says

for the ziploc quart size bag

- Double zipper closure helps seal in freshness. -- Redesigned top is easy to grasp and open. -- Quart size (7 inches x 7 3/4 inches) -- Contains 25 bags -- Keeps your food fresh, and your home organized. -- Can be used in the fridge, around the house, or on the go.

Is the one I have a quart bag or what? 8.5" long and 7" wide... I just found one and I dont have the original box What kind of sized bag is this??

Oops, I think I have a quart sized bag, I measured wrong, I started from where the seal was where u zip it, but if i measure right where the bag starts and not the seal the measurements add up. I answered my own question.
