Bankrupt Circuit City owes Hewlett-Packard $118 mln: report

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Circuit City Stores Inc.

owes Hewlett-Packard Co. more than $118 million, The Wall Street Journal reported on its Web site Monday, citing court papers filed in Circuit City's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The newspaper also said that Circuit City owes nearly $116 million to Samsung Electronics Co. and $60 million to Sony Corp.

well, for a while they start out small... like $1M and over time credit builds up and companies like HP want the sales a big store like CC provides so they just keep upping the "credit"

The more owes, the more one can borrow - crazy, but true.

And that's true even for individuals - ie. a person with little to no debt, often regardless of assets, will often face a struggle to get even one decent credit card... while the person with several credit cards, again regardless of assets (they could own nothing), carrying balances can most often get more credit cards to borrow even more.

I think the situation proves that people are not buying electronics so much as the failed so called college educated dipshit accountants and merchants thought over at Circuit City.

Anyone with a real Education knew that Merchant companies like Circuit City and a number those typical mini mall merchants were heading for disaster.

These executive clowns that chalk down losses by the millions need to just get a tin cup and walk the streets. How they got the jobs they got only one could wonder.
