Unless your teeth are fucked up, you may be better off just getting a good dentist. When I was 25, my dentist told me that I would most likely never have a cavity for the rest of my life. His advice was to brush twice daily, and floss.

Chances were the most I'd have to do is get my teeth cleaned once every six months and get xrays. For the most part, he's been right. I once went 10 years without seeing a dentist, with the only consequence being a good teeth cleaning when I found a good dentist I could trust.

The trick is, find a damned good dentist and stick with them. If you've never had a cavity and your new dentist wants to drill, run like hell.

I'd stay with Delta. Back when I lived in the US, I did fine with Delta dental. Good coverage. Good dentist network.

Kaiser doesn't have dental itself, but if purchased in combination with Kaiser Health you get Delta through the same policy. They sometimes refer to it as Kaiser Dental, but your card will say Delta. There are about 5 different plans you get depending on company size/co-pay, but I'd stick with Delta. Been with Kaiser/Delta for over 15 years and would never switch.

The way to save the most money. Get a discount dental card and a good dental insurance. Use the discount dental card when you go to the dentist. Then file a claim on the reduced bill with your regular dental insurance. You have to pay for the services up front but you will be reimbursed by your insurance company their usual payout fee. Ceramic crowns ended up costing me about $175 after all was said and done.
