We have started to monitor all 9,000 sites from our database (8,000 paysites and 1,000 programs) for malware and phishings reports by Google Safe Browsing. Note, also this:

Very nice service, thank you. People should also note that the owners of the websites may not be aware of the fact that their sites spread malware, it's probably due to a stealth hacker injection.

thx. the main idea is that G can set 'malware' status to sites which link to malware, so webmasters should watch links on their sites.
