Revup card reps here? Whats up with this??

So I sign up for my revupcard, it comes in the mail...

The sticker on the card says:
To activate your card simply call
866-345-1892
Choose your language and then press 1 for activation. A live customer service representative will activate your card immediately.


So, I do what the card says, I press one for English, then there IS NO #1 option. There is also no option to speak to a customer service rep. I finally choose the option for lost/stolen card and get a rep, give him my info and proceeds to tell me "we cannot activate your card, it will be activated when you put money on it."

So, I ask him how I can put money on it if it isnt active yet? He says through the automated system.

WTF?
