Wii users...what's better, Guitar Hero or Rock Band?

Which one do you like better - Guitar Hero or Rock Band?

Right on.

I'm wondering too if anyone's played with the new Guitar Hero world tour..the complete band one that's got the drums? - It looks pretty cool.

I'd go with Guitar Hero, but you should give both a try

I have Rock Band. My 7 year old son pounds the drums, I wield the guitar, and my wife sings. We have a blast with it.

BUT, I just read that they're coming out with Guitar Hero: Metallica. So I may have to get the GH set-up, too.

Hey Amber -

I have Rock Band and Guitar Hero for the Wii. In my opinion, if you are playing by yourself, Guitar Hero is *much* more fun. If you're having a group play, then go with the Rock Band.

However, with that new Guitar Hero World Tour out - you get the best of both worlds.

On Wii, Rock Band is trash. Not sure about part 2 but the first one was the laziest port I've ever seen of a game (no online play, no downloadable content, hardware breaks easily). I was very disappointed with it.

Guitar Hero World Tour on the other hand is excellent, not a bastard child version compared to the Xbox360/PS3 versions (actually has stuff they don't have like Mii Free Play mode) and the drum set is awesome. Plus it has downloadable content to get new songs

Right on ya'll! Thanks so much for your advice...it's been really helpful.

I'm going with Guitar Hero world tour (the full band kit)...both GH and RB seem great, but I'm gonna give this one a try.

I'm setting it up the night before xmas too so I can *uh-hm* get familiar with it before the kids know I've got it and take it over. ;)

Thanks again!
