HDTV questions
So, I finally bought an LCD tv..
I don't watch much TV so I've got a few questions because I don't know much about them Should a DVD be clear on a 720p TV? I've been playing them through my Xbox and they don't seem as clear as I expected .. Do I need blueray ? Also, I have an Xbox 360 currently wrapped under the tree, how will this look on my new TV? do I need any special cables or is the component cable okay? (It says HD on the cable) but my friend says I need a HDMI cable, but I'm unsure Any answers are appreciated.. |

you're probably not bright enough to deal with new TV technology, no shame in that.
take it back and get one of these ![]()

well, I found my answers, and looks like I gotta spend even more money to get clear picture ![]() I was happy with my 27 inch tube TV, but it was time for an upgrade. I seriously watch only 1/2 hour of TV a day ( two and a half men ) besides that, I couldn't be bothered.. Figure my kids will figure out all this shit for me, tonight I had to get them to show me how to get the fucking Xbox to play a DVD and they treated me like a retard while explaining it all.. Apparently microsoft bent me over and made me pay for a remote otherwise it won't play DVD's even though it has the functionality, that remote must be plugged in to play them , etc etc.. what a pain in the ass. Funny, I remember showing my parents how to work the VCR (* beta haha ) and now I'm being schooled by an 8 year old. |

Well, I don't know nothing about 720p TV, I've got 1080p one and there we can adjust the colors and brightness for what we'll do, for example: there's a setup for xbox, for movies, for series, for non-digital programs... In fact, if you want to watch something with a clear image, buy a blu-ray player...!
