Joe Francis Gives Bad Jacuzzi

Frm TMZ:

So ... you drop $6.5 mil on a home. Since Joe Francis once owned it, it's reasonable to assume the hot tub and the wine cellar are A-OK, right? Wrong.

The not-so-proud owners of the house are suing both Joe Francis and the person who sold him the house -- famed NBA coach Rudy Tomjanovich -- claiming more than $3 million in damages.

Francis is listed as the owner/builder who "substantially remodeled the Property" from 2000 to 2003. He sold it to Rudy Tomjanovich and his wife in 2004. Rudy then sold it to the plaintiff, Steven Bardack -- the guy who founded Strata Capital and also served as a head honcho at Yahoo.

Among other things, Bardack claims the Tomjanovichs defrauded him by not disclosing problems with the decks, the paint, the caulking, the walls, the travertine, the skylight, the windows, the glass -- basically, he claims the house is a disaster.

The suit alleges Francis had a duty to make sure the remodel was up to par -- but the final product was allegedly far from it.

We're guessing we know why the Jacuzzi is on the fritz ...

how is this joe francis's problem? he's 3 owners back now!

Steven Bardack is a douche bag who is trying to get some easy money. I hope this gets huge publicity and he is humiliated because of how much of a fucking low scumbag he is.

I think the home inspector did a piss poor job. And how this goes back to Joe Francis is beyond me, he was a former owner, if anything, its the immediate owner who should be sued, not Joe.

This lawsuit will not go nowhere. The buyer has a good amount of time, while the deal is in escrow to inspect the house fully. An inspector will even give him a report, and if he wants anything deducted for repairs, he could easily ask for it. It's a little too late for that. The inspector and appraiser should be sued if thats the case.

what a load of shit I mean the sellers disclosure is not basis to sue

no so.. lots of guys sue (and win) after purchase/escrow if the damage/shortcomings are not disclosed.
it is the seller obligation to disclose everything prior the sale, that means everything.
it is not the responsibility of the inspector to go through the entire place with a magnifying glass..
