Recommend a sex toy affiliate program?

Hey GFY peeps,

I am interested in signing up for one or two sex toy affiliate programs (like Adam and Eve, Sex Toy.com, etc.) Can anyone recommend ones that have worked well/convert well for them?

Thanks!

I have been using PECash for the longest time. Always pays ontime and converts damn well. Not to mention the tools really help out.

I must be doing something wrong. I've been using PECash for about 4 years and to date I have never generated even a single sale with them. Everything I offer in my sites generates income except for PECash.

I do not typically refspam. Oddly this sextoy & dvd site works for me. It has had its ups and downs. Overally it has made me more money on average per click than any others I have tried.

I will also say I have tried some other sites that I know people were making money hand over fist with and I could not convert it for the life of me.

I sent them something like 16,000 hits from qualified traffic and didn't make a single sale. I'm not calling them crooks, but....actually, I am calling them crooks.

Switched the traffic to mallcom and so far this month they converted 12837 uniques into 26 orders >> 1:500 or thereabouts.

Do the customers remain yours? i.e. you get paid if they come back a few months later and make another sale?

Let me know... I'd try mallcom but their percentage is lower than pecash and with pecash the customer remains yours for life which I really like... but if mallcom converts at a significantly better rate, then maybe it would make me more money.

They give you the customer's details (not all obviously), so I'd think that would imply the customer is tracked to you.

Never know in this game, so many cloaks and mirrors. Will post the reply.

Just had an answer back from their affiliate people - it's a year long cookie apparently. If the surfer clears it, and goes to their site directly, you don't get commission.

It's best to incorporate Mallcom's store into your site so the punters bookmark your site. It's very easy to do (takes about 5 minutes) and you can brand it to suit your livery. That way, you should always get the commission you're due.

How much $$$ you receive with the 26 orders?

I actually meant once they buy something.. i.e. if someone you send to PECash (and they buy something) goes back 3 months later and buys again on the account they created the first time, it's tied to your affil number and so you get the comission.. in other words, it's lifelong revshare with pecash as opposed to just a % of an initial sale.

Yeah I know what you meant tempest, and I answered you.

The fact is I sent Pecash a load of hits and they earnt zero. The same traffic sent to mallcom converts incredibly well.

If there are zero sales from pecash it doesn't matter one iota that they might rebill or not.

Send traffic to both and you'll soon know what I'm saying is correct.

Thanks everyone for your input so far. It's good to see what people's personal experience is with stuff, and I'm glad the subject of lifelong sales was brought up - I will keep that in mind when making my decision (however, I guess a % of the initial something is better than lifelong payout on nothing....lol!)

You did? the lifelong cookie thing? I took that to mean if they click the link, not if they actually end up being a customer... tracking a returning customer using a cookie is ridiculous if that's what they're actually doing as it's not like it's even close to being reliable.. and all that's required is a field in their DB for that customer with your affiliate id.

Yes, I know

Still, I've stuck with them for years, they earn me a nice wedge, and I tried 3 other sponsors and none compared in terms of traffic sent and $. At the end of the day, that's all that matters to me.

I have to say I am a big fan of http://www.sextoysex.com/sex/start/a...a=diamondjames

They have a cool wishlist feature which is great since my members like to buy me items from it. So I get the toys AND the comission ;)

OK, I tallied all the recommendations and here's the top three so far:

SexToySex = 4 votes
PE Cash = 2 votes
Mallcom = 2 votes

Now I gotta narrow it down from there. I like the idea of the lifelong payout, so I have to admit I'm leaning towards that concept....

Barbie, I know it isn't "toys" persay but www.fastsize.com is in the same sort of market as the toy group. If you market to men at all it can rock hard. (http://affiliates.fastsize.com)

I'm with NicheShops.com, and we do toys really well. We have massive customization available. If you're working with a vanilla audience we pay 50%. We pay less on gay and fetish, but the dollars are better because we're better targeted. Of course, straight dudes looking for porn, not so good.

Good luck in your search.

Add another vote to Pecash.

Conversion ratio: 1:145 so far for 2008.
