Low Traffic Pay Site vs. High Traffic Affiliate sites
Here is the scenario:
Solo pay site: Around mid 500k alexa ranking. Has been in business for roughly 18 months. $19.95 for 1 month membership. Sub par affiliate program - no FHGs or free content, just a shitty banner. Home made content. No photos, just video updates maybe 3-4 times monthly IF THAT. Affiliate Sites: Same niche as the solo site but promoting other sites including the solo site. Alexa rankings from 200k range and higher. Been in business for roughly 2 1/2 years. Receives an average of $12 to $14 on commissions for each sale. Lets assume 50+ sales a week combined. Basically, is it really possible for a sub par, low traffic solo site to double or even triple the profit that a good niche affiliate can produce with a good network of sites? Has anyone ever seen this in reality and not just in theory? |
