Nothing like waking up to a sick dog

Not sure what the hell he got into, but it gave him the shits big time. Any recommendations for stool hardening for a 2 year old dog?

he isn't puking? I wouldn't do anything drastic, you might create a bigger problem, but watch him for dehydration which could be a killer from too much diarrhea, if you think it is bad enough I would get him to a vet

If its a virus, you should go to the vet. If its just something he ate, it will be out of him within half a day usually - tha natural way

Any product you give him orally will not be able to do much, since what gave him the shits is already in his intestines

Nah, he just squirted shit all over the one spot in my house that is carpeted. Not sure why he couldn't do it on the tile instead.

Milk backs a dog up bigtime. But if he's having nasty dribbles, just give him lots of water and skip a meal. If he's super super hungry give him a bit of bread or something easy to digest. His body is trying to get rid of something, so let him process it and when it's done, feed him regularly again. He'll give you the puppy eyes guilt trip, but it's for his own good

right. neither would I but if it continues after trying to stop him up or a couple days goes by I suggest you do take him to the vet to at least get checked out.

My dog caught some weird ass virus from something outside a couple years back and nearly died from dehydration/malnutrition because I had the "he'll get over it" mentality... Now I take my dogs to to the vet pretty quick if they start shitting like mad. Just keep an eye on him

My dogs poop on the linoleum if they're desperate.. it was est up as their pee pad when they were babies and they always revert there (but there hasn't been an accident in almost a year). It helps to train them to a spot makes cleanup SO much easier!

I used to have a dog when I was young, she was a cockapoo, and when she got the runs if we were gone she'd jump in the bathtub and do it. Never trained her for that she jsut did, NO idea why, but it cleaned up easy too. Guess I've been lucky

chicken and rice is the best for a dog with an upset tummy.

Just boil up some rice and steam a chicken breast.

Wow, the reminds me of when our lab had surger to remove a tumor about 4 months ago. After picking him from the vet after surgery he was still groggy and way out of it. Puking all over the house and could hardly keep his eyes open. Luckily after sitting with him through the entire night making sure everything was ok, he was better in the morning. And four months later, no more bumps/rumors have came back after his stage 2 cancer at only 2 years old.
