Where to find (mainstream) sales people?
I was using CL as a good resource but recently been nothing but flakes and having to pay $25 a pop for an ad really ads up... especially posting in multiple cities 3x a week.
I thought about local papers and online sites, but some charge $100 to $200 for an ad ![]() any suggestions?

Sales for search marketing services, such as AdWords, Yahoo SM, MSN, etc.
The issue seems that we need people with experience selling at least Internet based advertising in the past and looking to hire people to go after companies and businesses regionally, rather than having a call office in one city. We just don't have the time to train sales people with no experience selling advertising, either online or offline. Last year we got a number of good candidates that we are still using, but expanding is getting tough, even into the same areas were we currently have sales people at.

Their postings are expensive and you get very very little responses.
The people we are looking for are to sell as "outside sales," as in we do not provide warm leads to the reps to call. Our inside sales team handles that and we pay more salary and commission to our outside sales reps. Argh, its frustrating ![]()

MarketingSherpa.com is free. iMediaConnection and IAB Smartbrief have listings as well but I don't know how much they are.
Mainstream advertising salespeople usually get emails from MS, iMedia and IAB weekly. I think for MS they will post on site and send out in the email newsletter. Good luck!
