Nah, it was the Director of Photography that set him off, and the judge let him off the hook because the unprofessional treatment made them justifiable homocides. It's one of those movies where you have to wait 'til all the credits run to see the conclusion.

I've heard two ideas, and i don't think the second one makes any damn sense.
1- he didn't actually kill anyone, it was all in his sick addled brain. evidenced by the fact that the first guy he "killed" was seen in another city by a college. 2- he killed all kinds of people and the college who was sighted was a mistake. They ARE after all, constantly mistaking eachother for other people. |
