Windows Media Player Not Playing Backed-Up DVDs?
So I've been backing up part of my dvd collection to an external hd I bought recently and have watched several of the movies with my girlfriend since doing so, with no problems.
Last night I attempted to play a movie, and then several others, but none of them would play in Windows Media Player. Instead I got a message stating ""Windows Media player cannot playback the DVD because the disk prohibts playback from your region of the world." All of my DVDs were purchased legally and all are region 1 (US) and my laptop's dvd drive is region 1 as well. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? The DVDs were playable for like a week but now ALL of them give me this error in WMP. I'm assuming it's a problem with WMP, but could it be the HD instead? Thanks for any info, c-lo
