Has the hun's traffic dropped off?

Everybody assumes that the hun's traffic is dying off.
Most often, the alexa graphs are quoted.

Those only show relative rankings of sites.
The market could have become bigger. Therefore, it is not necessarily true that the hun's traffic has dropped.

I haven't submitted in years. So how is the hun nowadays?

tgps link to other sites...tubes have the content on their own site..thats a big Alexa advantage...but there is no question TGP traffic is down...its hard to compete traffic wise with sites that have full length movies for free...all the movie freeloaders hit the big tubes..

it was that simple, no frills, '90's look' that helped make Hun
when everyone else was pushing banner farms & pop up hell,
he was offering "shit-free" clean gallery links

he epitomises traffic is king, design is just design, i'll take a
90's looking site with the Huns numbers over a 2009 design
with a fraction of his bookmarks.. i'm sure the site itself
is probably doing less these days, still a force nevertheless

I still like the simple design+the fact that he always used to list some special stuff.. I myself like surfing his site from time to time..

You all seem to forget one important thing.... PROFIT

All stuff is driven by profit per hour of work and resources used formula.
The Hun probably has lesser servers bill compared to most fake tube sites (the ones that list 2 minutes videos like xfliq.com ). And not to mention that his server bill doesnt even approach what a a real tube with full scenes like sexmultiplex.com could burn.

Also his work is only reviewing galleries and billing for the banner ads and listing spots.

His tech needs are next to nothing since he probably runs the same TGP script that he ran in 2003.

So basically, The Hun's expenses are... 3 hours/day reviewing and making invoices, about $1k in servers (as much)... probably it's much less since he runs his own hosting company... and practically no programming/admin need.
Compare this to a tube site using 10 - 50 servers in different datacenters and burning several GBps of bw, and you will see that The Hun is still a very profitable business if accounted in profit vs resources and time used.

of course, thehun with 50% less traffic in three years from 2006 is still probably several times more profitable then biggest tube site. I was longtime advertiser with paid spots on his site and i have some idea about his numbers....

but the point is, where will be thehun in another three years, four years?
of course he is set for the rest of his life, but I can see his numbers going down really fast in a next years.

You cant say what will happen.. we can also see an AVS comeback - there just have to be an international law protecting children and the whole internet porn might change.

Well, I had an approved gallery about a week ago and traffic is about the same actually... just the twin girls I was promoting had a shitty tour, so it didn't convert even one sale, and i'm fully attributing it to the tour and not the hun's traffic.

sextracker anyone? Sounding like people don't know the traffic of the hun in this thread..... ~1,7 million uniques per day at the moment. A tube site with 1,7 million uniques probably has a server bill of $20,000+ per month, thehun probably around $1,000.

Even if thehun would lower his paid gallery spots to as little as $100 per (which wont happen) he would still make $2k per day just from them.

the hun gets revenue from pre-paid gallery placements on the top 15 spaces and banners. the rest of thegalleries are free placements.

If I had to choose a direction it would be Freeones - Since they equal to the largest adult tubes making them larger than just about anything else - and doing it legit.

Having a Tube or not will never be a deciding factor in success.

You are assuming everything, but know nothing.

I know you think you know, but it sounds to me like your assumptions are quite inaccurate.

I think your right the freeloaders have gone to the tubes and the buyers go to tgp's. Tgp traffic does well for us now. When a couple of years ago pre tubes it didnt do well for us.

I agree....
People with cash are still visiting TGP's in search of next thrill,
while people that want stuff for free are mostly going on tubes...

Who would have thought there would come a day when people were talking about protecting quality TGP traffic...the world changes.

I have found that tgp traffic is still good for my fetish stuff because there just isn't that much of it out there on tubes ...yet.

Approved or listed? Isn't there about a 3 month delay between approved and listed?

If it just got accepted then you won't see traffic for several more weeks.

No. The delay is ~2.5 months and its between you submit and it gets reviewed.
The time between a gallery is approved and it gets listed is usually 2-4 days.

well I'm pretty much a newb to the whole adult biz(being submitting for 6 months), but I did got listed on the hun 2 times and hell I LOVE that site - I got around 120.000 hits per gallery, made 4 sales, and I think I would have quit the biz without those sales...those were the first ones for me

Hun if you're reading this, THANKS!

I'd love for AVS to make a return. In fact, and I know I've been saying this for a long time, but I'm going to put some of my old sites back up on some of the remaining AVS' out there.
