Who are the largest adult magazines?

We all know of Penthouse, Playboy and Hustler. Besides them who do you think (or know) has the highest circulation?

Breaking News - After Shap bought up the entire Internet porn industry, he has now moved on to the off-line porn industry by swiping Playboy for a great price during these troubled times. Word has it he is aggressively pursuing the Webster's and Oxford dictionary in an attempt at purchasing the description for "porn".

Gallery used to be big but they went bankrupt last year - owing photogs and models a ton of money. Magna Publishing bought Gallery's publisher, Montcalm Publishing, out of bankruptcy for 1.3 M, very shady. Magna publishes a ton of magazines, all niches, most well known would be Swank. None of these magazines are paying much these days or buying much. Score has always paid lower. Gallery used to pay 2500 per photoset. Now it's $1,000. There's also Half Moon Publishing - they are mostly interested in buying 'second rights' - they have bought a ton of stuff off my photog.

oh - and the publisher of Tight - forget their name. http://www.tightmag.com - they're showing the same signs as Gallery did.

horrible future for mens magazines of all kinds.

Paul Raymond Publishing are probably second to Hustler these days.

Score do not buy any more unless it's girls with huge tits they have not seen before.
Crescent have not bought for years.
Mavety who publish Tight are very tough to sell to.
The rest forget about it.

They are all suffering from the switch to the Internet along with all print. Most print magazine publishers who do not have a huge presence on the Net will die soon. They simply can't sell them like they used to.

We approached some of those without sites years ago and told them they should be doing what Hustler, Score and PRO are doing and using their readership to show them their Internet sites.

They did not have a clue what to do and did nothing. Most now don't have jobs.

I remember Archer Street well from the 80's. Who thought those days would ever end?

Seems a different world. Would walk in with a brief case with a few sets in and walk out with a few grand of business. OK I had to wait a year for the money but better than living hand to mouth for peanuts.

10 major clients, shooting once a week and earning enough to live well. There were a few guys who worked less and earned more. LOL

I was more into the videos those days, but still had a very good side line shooting for the mags.

Ok this word MAGAZINE, it seems familiar but I am unsure. Remind me of what a MAGAZINE is exactly.

It's an industry the Internet is putting out of business. Now the Internet is in the process of putting itself out of business, the irony is striking.

OK we are not going to put ourselves entirely out of business, or magazines. But the Internet has turned many billion dollar businesses into million dollar businesses. Progress. LOL
