this may be a really stupid question but why not expand this out to all your affilates
the end result would be smaller players who would only be able to generate 1k in sales would be getting a discount on an ad buy (have to give you cash too).

That would have more value to you in this economic time. Get more sales online, plus create an insentive to advertise in your magazine instead of competitors (x% off sale)
