Domain transfer question

My domain expired with Dotster. Is it now too late to transfer to another registrar?

reasoning:
Dotster had previously gave me *special* pricing, lower than listed on site.
Suddenly they jacked my price back to regular listed price on their website.

When questioned Dotster replied with:

Try to unlock it and get EPP. If the status of the domain will be "OK" only you still can transfer.

yeah its too late. dotster doesn't allow transfers after expiry.

Normally, domains cannot be transferred if they are expired.

So, this is what you need to do, in this order:

1. Renew it.
2. Unlock it.
3. Get the EPP code for it.

Then, transfer it here:

http://www.moniker.com
