depends on how many customers the original company had, how many of them keep checking their accounts, and if the new buyer could start a service that is exactly the same soon enough. i have paid a premium for a domain name so that i can claim that company xyz has aquired competitorxyz.com. Most people will assume that you aquired the entire company, when all you bought was the domain.

That being said the price would drop sigificantly the longer you wait, since more and more people would realize the company is belly up.

If it had a lot of traffic there would be a slight possibility of that price being worth it, but 7-figure alexa rank just doesn't cut it. For that category of domain it'd probably have to have 1x,xxx-3x,xxx rank or higher at least and it would have to be from very strong sustained sources. I'm sure the per visitor value of the traffic it does get is high but for the low amount of traffic it gets, he'd have to knock it down probably to $50,000 to have a chance of selling. It IS a solid name though. That's about one of the best words to put with "ez".
