I know as a kid I had two fears although they are somewhat related and one did develop after the other had pretty much passed.

First was as a very young kid (around 7-8 I think) and I started to get very strong nightmares about Jack from Jack in the box fame. He would chase me in my sleep trying to capture me and threaten me that if I allowed them to blow him up he would kill me and turn me into hamburger. This was when he still was just a head on top of a box and if I recall the franchise wanted to change its image and were (did) going to blow him up on national TV in either the very late 70's or very early 80's. I did become more and more irrational before it aired, but he also said I could not tell my parents either so I was stuck. Then I saw it and they blew him up. I almost went into shock and had cold sweats and was very upset. I also refused to sleep for several days and was showing real bad mental signs that had everyone freaked until my parents took me to the doctor and he advised them to have me get some sleep (duh, but they also did not know I would sit awake in my room at night shaking.) - so they drugged me. I thought for sure I was going to die.

Will save second fear developed later on assuming some others share theirs.

when i was a kid i had a fear of Aliens from the movie of the same name. when the space heaters turned on, clicked and creaked i thought it was the aliens. sometimes i saw them in the shadows. slag was used on the dirt roads. i thought those were the alien eggs.

i never got eaten though or spun up and had an egg implanted in me.

Most never even remember the original Jack. What was odd and had me woried was when they brought him back I had a bad dream that night as well but then it stopped as it just was sort of silly.

Dolls. Their dead staring eyes still creep me out.

There used to be a house in NJ that had dolls nailed all over the front of the house and more specifically the front porch. You could see the headlights reflect off their creepy dead eyes. It still makes me shudder. The town made them remove the dolls years ago, but you can still find references to the "doll house" in nj online.

Started around age 9-10.
I always remember feeling very uncomfortable around dolls even before it took a turn towards irrational. Their soulless glass eyes just staring at you all of the time with some sort of smirk on their faces. At first it was just this Geisha doll my grandmother had in this glass case that gave me quivers.

Fast forward a few years and I went to stay with my aunt for a couple of weeks. The thing had at least a hundred if not more dolls and most had those awful glass eyes and were the porcelain types. The things just scared the hell out of me.
I then find myself totally avoiding the dolls and fearful that they would wake up and eat my soul or something. Come one day I was walking towards the backyard through the dining room heading out to the pool. I see eyeballs out of the corner of my eye and fucking flip. I spin around as quickly as possible and see a doll which makes me jump back. My back slams into glass and wood, which cuts the hell out of me as it begins to tumble onto me. The dolls eyes that I saw and jumped back from were just a reflection in a mirror from the curio cabinet that I just slammed into. As I am in full panic I push the cabinet up some and this fucking doll falls out on me. A bit of ease comes over me for some odd reason and I start to get up. All of a sudden the dolls fucking glass eyes roll up (it was one of those that had eyes that opened and closed), I scream and just bolt - right through the sliding glass door.

I ended up with many stitches that day and to make it worse I was to afraid to go back in to call for help so as a bloody mess I went next door to have them call for help. They could not reach my aunt or uncle and I had to go to doctor, my aunt got to find the gore which I am sure gave her a scare.

I went to a lake to shoot once and basically walked in a nest of wasps. My cameraman went running for the car and got stung twice, and they were STILL following him for the entire half mile. I got stuck because the only way out was past the bees again

I got stung once and had to wait until he came driving up with the car. So terrible! Yyyyeah we have that footage around here somewhere still, it's like watching Blair Witch

My biggest fear has been needles since I was 13.

Had a bodyboarding incident, picked up a nasty bacterial infection from the waters in Newport Beach. Within hours my body was covered with lil chicken pox looking marks. Went into the emergency room to get looked at.

Had a blood test done.

Nurse comes back 30 minutes later... sorry we forgot to run one of the necessary tests on your blood.

Had another blood test done.

Different nurse comes back, we mislabeled your blood, and need to run another round to be sure we have correct results for you.

Had 3rd blood test done.

Doctor walks back, " Sorry Mik, I know you are gonna want to punch me by now, but we need to do one last test..."

Had 4th blood test done...

Around this point... i was turning pale. They we're force feeding my sugar cookies and gatorade, finally had to insert an IV and keep my overnight because they had taken too much blood out.

Now If I even think I have to get a shot, or stitches... I pass out.

Tattoos I'm fine with strangely... but even piercings... Got my tongue pierced, passed out, got my ear pierced, passed out.

I had an angry homeless man cut the webbing in between of my thumb and index finger open once... I could see all the nerves in there, it was like a deep cut like 1 inch long. Anyways, I saw that... watched them stitch me up, got a tetanus shot and all that, fine.

Went back to get the stitches OUT and I pass out like a little girl.

Now I lay down for my blood tests.

Damn they must of taken a whole lot. I have loss mass amounts of blood before even hitting the doctor. Plus during stays I have had them take blood numerous times per day and not just 1-2 vials but full panels and such which mean 6-7 or more tubes at a times worth.

Couldn't give you any exact amounts... lol but needless to say this is where my present day phobia comes from... I start turning pale and getting weak even seeing needles now, just like I started to after the 3 or 4 test they pulled...

Gnarly experience for me that young, never having been around hospitals much. I avoid them like the plague nowadays. Im fully convinced doctors and nurses everywhere were put on this earth to attack me with needles.

I get your fear, well yes and no. I have seen people pass out though from the sight of needles. Oddly it was never something that even made me flinch. Feeling wise what used to get me was the taking the IV out. It just feels very funny as it is sliding out of your arm.

Oh wait, have you ever seen a pick line? I just had one removed this week. They numb your inner arm up a little bit first and then go after the artery in your arm near your inner bicep. Anyways the line they leave in is this blue monster about as round as the ink container in a ball point pen and about a foot long or so. Also when they put the line in and feed in the tube, then they Xray you to check for placement and then slide out this long ass metal wire - leaving in the plastic tubing. When they change the dressing each week it also has to be a fully sterile procedure. Anyways when they take it out for good, they apply pressure and then begin to slide out the tubing and it has that same feeling as removing an IV but it is a fucking foot long. Had to share.

Wierdest thing with the needles and stitches with me too... it's not the pain... its straight up head game and I know it. A needle prick is shit, my tats and old hockey injurys hurt way more than a needle ever did... but I'd still rather break an arm again or slice something open then have a needle prick. Had a bodyboarding incident, picked up a nasty bacterial infection from the waters in Newport Beach. Within hours my body was covered with lil chicken pox looking marks. Went into the emergency room to get looked at. Had a blood test done. Nurse comes back 30 minutes later... sorry we forgot to run one of the necessary tests on your blood. Had another blood test done. Different nurse comes back, we mislabeled your blood, and need to run another round to be sure we have correct results for you. Had 3rd blood test done. Doctor walks back, " Sorry Mik, I know you are gonna want to punch me by now, but we need to do one last test..." Had 4th blood test done... Around this point... i was turning pale. They we're force feeding my sugar cookies and gatorade, finally had to insert an IV and keep my overnight because they had taken too much blood out. Now If I even think I have to get a shot, or stitches... I pass out. Tattoos I'm fine with strangely... but even piercings... I have seen people pass out though from the sight of needles. Oddly it was never something that even made me flinch. Feeling wise what used to get me was the taking the IV out. It just feels very funny as it is sliding out of your arm. Oh wait, have you ever seen a pick line? I just had one removed this week. They numb your inner arm up a little bit first and then go after the artery in your arm near your inner bicep. Anyways the line they leave in is this blue monster about as round as the ink container in a ball point pen and about a foot long or so. Also when they put the line in and feed in the tube, then they Xray you to check for placement and then slide out this long ass metal wire - leaving in the plastic tubing. When they change the dressing each week it also has to be a fully sterile procedure. Anyways when they take it out for good, they apply pressure and then begin to slide out the tubing and it has that same feeling as removing an IV but it is a fucking foot long.
