Japan: Tsutomu Yamaguchi has become the first person officially recognised as having survived both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings, which killed over 200,000 people.

Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on business when the bomb fell three kilometres away. He suffered severe burns and returned to Nagasaki the day before that city was bombed. He suffered further radiation exposure looking for his family.

It is unknown what state of health Mr Yamaguchi is in, but many of the 260,000 survivors of the bombings have serious health problems. The government provides them with medical checks, a financial allowance, and funeral expenses.

its about those bombings... great documentary

has survivors talking about the aftermath, how people died because they drank water too fast, etc... one guy lifted up his shirt and you could see all of his bones and his heart beating he was so fucked up
