Hmmm yeah, that would explain the 50's lady icon and that pic of Lensman sporting a flat top. Seriously though, GFY got big in 2001 and was born a couple of years earlier, I think (someone correct me on this).

At the very end of the story, where the narrator says, "and created the internet", there should be a picture of some hairy fat dude splooging all over his keyboard, then multiply the picture thousands of times and fill the screen.
