What are some Mainstream membership site ideas?
I want to try a mainstream site and what are some niche site ideas that people would be willing to pay for every month?
I was thinking like a diet site, or maybe a site that lists discounts or something. any other ideas? |

Step 1: Get an idea
Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profit There's more to it than that friend. Mainstream is tough. |

But I thought if I do mainstream then I'd have way more places I can promote a mainstream site (youtube, myspace, article marketing adwords etc etc) rather than doing adult and having few affordable promotional options. Also can use PayPal which so many of my adult customers asked for but I cant because PayPal wont process for adult. |

For membership in mainstream it is almost always a service you want to offer.
First of all you really wanna reconsider who you want to offer this service for... The private consumer is very unlikely to signup for something that costs money. It is incredibly hard and is not what I would recommend you to start with. Start out with thinking of something you can offer small companies that could hold significant value for them. Could be a online task management system for only $99/month. The single most important thing is that your product has some real value! Otherwise you are biting the dust before you even get started. Mainstream subscriptions is a whole other ballgame where your focus have to be on small business rather than private persons. Think about it, what do you subscribe to that costs money? NOTHING is the correct answer ![]() Target the Fortune 5.000.000 of businesses and you are off in the right direction.... Best of luck.

Polle is completely correct. The average person - ESPECIALLY right now won't pay even 9.95 for a "service" online as it is viewed as completely non essential. Especially a dieting site or what not.

![]() All it takes to realize this is to take a look at yourself and your friends... No one is paying for subscriptionservices.. or at least a very very small amount of people.. (Not counting World of Warcraft) ![]()

![]() There's no such thing as fast money, there's only a lot of people paying to prove that wrong ![]() That's why it can be a good business to sell "Get Rich Fast" products ![]() Your product has to hold some real value if you wanna keep members paying you. It is possible to make good bank in the mainstream affiliate business by selling somewhat shitty products, but for your recurring profit you need to think of something no one can tell you in here.
