Man Allegedly Prostituted Teen He Met On Myspace
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) ―

A Florida man has been arrested in San Diego accused of contacting a teenage girl through her MySpace page and then putting her to work as a prostitute in Orange County.

Christopher Young made his initial court appearance Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana. He is charged with one count of sex trafficking of children. He did not enter a plea.

Young allegedly contacted the girl last October and, after promising to make her a "star," gave her a bus ticket from Florida to Las Vegas.

Authorities said the 28-year-old Young then brought the girl to Orange County, where he had her work as a prostitute.

Federal prosecutors say Young faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison if convicted.
