I'm looking for a powerful one and don't mind spending some dough to get what I need. What are you guys currently using for this? I have a fun idea for a dating site and need a good script to power it. If you are a designer and have themed certain scripts that's also helpful too!

There are a number of options for social networking and Joomla.

SocialEngine.net is a nice all in one, social networking script.

Dolphin is an open source script.

right now i wouldt not advice you to even consider skadate!

Get a custom job. Cut corners now, it will only cost you in the future anyway.

A top rate design company here actually has a decent dating script. I forget the company. You could always get that modified. Would save you some dosh and you'd be getting a good script. Someone here must know the name.

never go with a ready made script. find someone to build it on drupal, it's a quiet an expense for the start up, but you'll thank me later!
